WORKS

Emily Pauline Johnson is best known for her works titled The White Wampum (1895), Canadian
Born (1903), Flint and Feather (1912), Legends of Vancouver (1911). After her death in 1913,
her team published two books of short stories titled The Shagganappi (1913), and The Moccasin
Maker (1913). As previously mentioned these literary works were focused around her
mixed-race heritages but more specifically being a woman with mixed-race identity. These
works had critical reflections on legal policies regarding Indigenous peoples imposed by the
state.
